Who is Sandy Wegman?
Sandy is currently the Kane County Recorder and is seeking re-election.
During her tenure, Sandy has completely modernized the office’s information technology infrastructure, enhanced customer service, and dramatically improved the turn around time to record documents. Sandy’s work has earned the praise from all those who have had the opportunity to meet her or interact with the office – from the Chicago Tribune and fellow officeholders to title company employees and citizens of the county – all of whom benefit from improvements Sandy has instituted.
While the office is solely funded by user fees, year after year, Sandy has run her office under budget and returns millions of dollars to the county, actively bringing fiscal discipline to local government.

Sandy’s hands-on approach often catches visitors by surprise as she is as comfortable recording documents as she is managing the whole office. Her open door policy means she will gladly meet with visitors and staff at any time.
Sandy was formerly a member of the International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers (IACREOT), and National Association of County Recorders and Clerks (NACRC).
Sandy has served on the Illinois Electronic Recording Commision” and also as a Gail Borden Public Library Trustee from 1993 to 2005. Sandy has served as the president of the Illinois Association of County Clerks and Recorders (IACCR) Zone IV.
Thank you for your interest and continued support. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time. I look forward to continuing to serve as your County Recorder.
